Win7 64bit SP1 all Updates german language
Copy Handler 1.44 installed version
Folder 1:
File named 12345.mp4 exist in the folder
Folder 2:
File named 12345.mp4 exist in the folder
Action via drag'n'drop in filemanager (here: q-dir):
Copy/Move file named 12345.mp4 from Folder 2 to Folder 1
Copy Handler 1..44 offers:
File you are trying to copy already exists. What do you want to do?
Replace - Append - Skip - Pause - Cancel
Fault:
Append does the same like Replace
The file in Folder 1 will be overwritten (replaced).
Copy Handler should do:
Copy/Move the file named 12345.mp4 from Folder 2 to Folder 1 but
change the name of the file (rename it) in Folder 2 from 12345.mp4
to new name 12345_2.mp4
or
to new name 12345 (2).mp4
or something else.
After the Copy/Move action in Folder 1 shall be two files,
one named 12345.mp4
the other one named 12345_2.mp4 or 12345 (2).mp4
This is not a bug. Append tries to copy the remaining part of file, so that the destination will be the same as source file.
What you want here is another functionality, and it is described here (and scheduled to be done eventually): https://dev.copyhandler.com/browse/CH-7
